Time to fix the character recommendation part of the wiki?

yet

Prescriptive vs. descriptive. If enough of us are wrong, wrong is right. I personally don't think you're going to change the terms we use by linking to absolute damage from everywhere in the wiki when all the guides and old timers use different terms, but who knows.

Especially since the difference between percent and absolute classes is next to nothing now.

It's not about how big of a difference there is between them. It's about how damage is calculated and what you want in terms of your items and enhancing them.

That's sort-of what a wiki is meant to be

and

It will take me a while to ponder about how write them and a format I feel is presentable, not-biased, and is actually helpful.

What I'm saying is mostly correct is more useful to people than 100% correct but riddled with exceptions to the rules, contradictions, etc. Like how science books for the layman avoid some deeper issues. This kind of page seems inherently biased and talky when you're comparing amongst the classes so shooting for perfection seems unrealistic.

I think most people just want an idea of the class's general playstyle, any unique mechanics, what kind of items they need, MAYBE a comment if they're bad in PvE right now. I would feel like a criminal if I didn't mention female mechanic is in a bad spot right now, for example, after talking about their cool g-series robots.

Going back to your other comment

I can only do so much.

I'd help, but I don't think you'd approve of my edits.

This is already loaded (and wrong because the game uses the term Absolute).

How so? The categorization was always about what the majority of your skills are so you can have a better idea of what you should do for items. Witch clearly has more fixed damage skills, with the majority of her bread and butter skills in the fixed column. I think just looking at a breakdown of her skills makes it obvious she benefits from int and base damage.

Pure Fixed Mixed Pure Percent
Death Dust Enhanced Magic Missile Gravitas? Or only on failure? Unclear from skill description.
Snow Dust Black Manteau
Acid Rain Devolution Flyswatter
Lava Potion Giant Swatter
Jackyl Broomstick Spin (spin attack: percent, shockwave: fixed)
Raging Flame Furnace Broomstick Bounce (spin attack: percent, shockwave: fixed)
Mega Drill
Florae Collider
Fusion Craft
