The guide to stop people from asking you how smash works: GET IT STRAIGHT! DAMAGE MODIFIERS!

d = [PhysAtk/MagAtk * (∏ Skill Atk +%)] + {FixedDmg * [1 + (STAT/250)]} * (1 + ELE/220) * (∑ All Atk. +%) * (∑ Smash) on crit *= 1.5 * (∏ Bonus Critical Atk) * (∑ CritSmash) d * bonus% d * bonus% * (1 + ELE/220)

let D = damage D = [(W * Skill%) + FixedDmg] * (1 + (STAT/250)) W = Weapon Physical/Magical Damage Found when you hover over your weapon with Detailed Info (F4) on This is not the Physical Atk. or Magical Atk. found on the Status Page Skill% = The Skill Percent Damage found on the Skill Description/Info For calculation purposes, divide the percent found on the skill info by 100 e.g. 17899% = 178.99 FixedDmg = the fixed damage of the skill found on the skill info This damage automatically adjusts from your Independent Atk. This number ALREADY accounts for every Skill Atk. +X% you have e.g. There is a hidden percentage that is multiplied to your Independent Atk. to get this number. It varies per skill. It is automagically calculated for you. STAT = this stat is your Strength/Intelligence found on your Status Page The number on your status page is already the summation of your stat from all sources If the skill deals Physical Damage, use Strength If the skill deals Magical Damage, use Intelligence * The Physical Atk. and Magical Atk. found on the Status Page is Weapon Damage * (1 + (STAT/250)) where STAT is Strength for Physical Damage and Intelligence for Magical Damage

D = D * (1 + ELE/220) Your damage is then increased by the elemental stat *If it was dealt by a weapon that inflicts [element] damage e.g. [Inflicts Shadow Damage] *If the skill deals Attribute Damage (found on the skill info window) Some skills are not clear about what element they do, some says so on their info e.g. ...deals fire damage..., some are obvious I think (Glacial Master does water damage skills) *Use the element value on your Status page that is the same as the element the damage dealt

D = D * (1 + ∑ All Atk. +%) It is further increased by the summation of all your [All Atk. +%] modifiers e.g. Sky Traveler Set Accessories has [All Atk. +3%] so equipping them all will increase your damage by 1.09

D = D * (∏ Skill Atk +%) It is further increased by the product of all your [Skill Atk. +X%] modifiers This is not a summation e.g. MMech's Lvl. 21 Robotics buff [Skill Atk. +21%] Lvl 12 Arc Reactor Passive [Skill Atk. +27%] Lvl 18 Last Fighting Will [Skill Atk. +26%] Lvl 7 HS-1 Friends Passive [Skill Atk. +32%] Total Skill Atk = 1.21 * 1.27 * 1.26 * 1.32 = 2.55

D = D * (1 + ∑ Smash) It is further increased by the summation of your Smash damage Smash is shown as [Attack Damage +X%] when Item Detailed Info (F4) is on, the item shows this message: (Multiple damage bonuses do not stack. Only the bonus with the highest value apples. [Not applicable to Critical Damage]) only your highest source of smash damage is used
e.g. Wearing a +11 Crimson Rod [Attack Damage +30%] and Sensory Satisfaction Set [Attack Damage +20%], only the smash damage from crimson rod is used Total smash damage is Highest Smash Damage + Sum of all [Additional Attack Damage +X%] e.g. Sensory Satisfaction Set [Attack Damage +20%] and Shore Edge [Additional Attack Damage +30%] will put your smash multiplier at 1.5

D = D * 1.5 * (∏ Bonus Critical Damage) * (∑ CritSmash) If the hit is a critical strike, is is further increased by *The default crit multiplier of 1.5 *The product of all [Bonus Critical Atk +X%] modifiers e.g. Vanguard's Lvl. 12 Demonic Unleash Buff [Bonus Critical Atk +32%] (1.32) e.g. Dragon Knight's Heiress Passive [Critical Damage Increase +31%] (1.31) Wording for this modifier doesn't follow a convention *Crit Smash multiplier Same with normal smash, only the highest value apply The modifier is [Critical Damage +X%] when Item Detailed Info (F4) is on, the item shows this message: (Only the bonus with the highest value applies. [Applicable only to Critical Damage]) Total Crit smash damage is Highest Crit smash damage + Sum of all [Additional Critical Damage +X%]

Bonus damage appear as extra lines under your original damage and they are simply Damage * Bonus% for Neutral Bonus damage. Some Bonus damages have an element so their damage is further increased by element stat. e.g. Soul Devourer has [Attacks inflict additional 25% Shadow Damage] Damage * Bonus% * (1 + (ELE/220))
