Trumpmageddon: Early SC Discussion/Hype Thread

I don't know how to read these exit polls. Maybe I was wrong about Trump winning tonight. 3/4 evangelical turnout with most of them were not decided until this week, some not even until today, about who they would pick. That sounds a lot like people voting on their religious issues (abortion) now that Scalia has passed away. And those votes wouldn't go to Trump.

It's really ashame. Once again, instead of voting for a CEO of our country based on his resume, the Republicans are going to go with his stance on social issues. Trump, by far, is the best on taxes, the best on trade, the best to help the middle working class. But Cruz and Rubio want to ban abortion, so who cares if they are unelectable in the general election. The religious right, while they make up a majority in the Republican party, make up a minority of the overall voter base with their stance with gay marriage and abortion.

With Trump running, we've had a bit of a return to Barry Goldwater Republicanism - fiscal conservative values with little interest in social issues. A time before religious social issues took over the party. But with a supreme court justice vacancy, everything has changed.

It's really ashame. This is our LAST SHOT to get a Republican in the Whitehouse. There will not be anymore Republicans in the Whitehouse after 2016 if we lose this election. Don't believe me? Imagine all of those red states near the border. The Democrats will control the supreme court and they will grant amnesty to all of the illegal aliens. Those aliens become citizens and can vote next presidential election. They aren't voting Republican. Goodbye Texas. Goodbye Arizona. Goodbye Republican party.
