Well obviously he’s not gonna learn the lesson until something bad happens. Again he can’t prove that he learned from his mistake if she won’t let him. I mean that’s her husband, not some random person.

it’s her car and she’s free to set whatever rules she wants, but that’s going to build a lot of tension and stain in the relationship which looks like it already has started. I really can’t imagine treated my wife the way she’s treating her husband. He made a mistake by being careless and the OP is giving off cheating levels of distrust.

That’s not even taking into consideration that the husband built the original car himself and gave it to her. Like I said in another post, this would be a major red flag for me.
