Turning left at traffic lights

I'm not advocating for people do this, I'm just stating what the law is. I think it's important for people to be clear what is and isn't illegal because otherwise it can lead to people being aggressive to people who they think are breaking the law when they aren't, for example.

The Driver Test doesn't just test on what is strictly illegal, they test on good defensive driving habits in general, even when something may be legal. For example, you can fail if you switch lanes beside another car even though that's legal, because it can lead to an accident if they change lanes at the same time.

I commented elsewhere in this post mentioning that you fail your test on it and explaining why it's not good defensive driving (as you can get stranded in the intersection).
