Minnesota fans are the worst fans in the country, in my opinion, I've lived amongst them my entire life. Here is how most seasons go.
Leading into the season, the Vikings are going to win the Super Bowl, no question.
Week 1-3 "SUPER BOWL" Chants, no matter if they've won or lost.
Week 4-8 They get pumped for game day, but then if they aren't winning or playing top notch, the game is turned off in or by the 3rd quarter.
Week 8-17 They've already been talking about who needs to be fired since Week 2, but this is where that intensifies and they talk about how if certain people weren't calling plays they would be in the Super Bowl (The Brad Childress years were the best for this).
I've lived in and around Minnesota and most of my friends are Vikings fans, family members and almost everybody I've ever worked with are these people. Luckily, I most years get to soak it in and enjoy it, but when they're not terrible... holy shit look out. That fucking "SUPER BOWL" chant is non-stop and everywhere.
The conversation right now is that Teddy Bridgewater is the savior and nobody has any concerns with anything about his game at all. The fact that Kalil had surgery on both his knees doesn't matter because he sucks and should lose his job anyway. Nobody mentions AP much. Radio guys do, sure, but most of their fans are sick of the subject. Their defense is going to possibly be the best D ever assembled (I think this one is hilarious).
The big unfortunate thing is that I'm a Twins and more so a Wild fan and I have to be in those fan bases with a lot of these people and they are the exact same with each team. This past 2 weeks when the Wild were swept by the Blackhawks for the fucking millionth time in a row, everybody immediately forgot about how fucking amazing the season has been for the past 4 months. People just ripped into the Wild and said they put forth a piss poor effort and while that could be said for a period here or there in game 1 and 3, they played their asses off and just ran into Joey Crawford deciding to play lights out for those 4 games. Fucking assholes. Seriously. They don't appreciate anything.
