I'd still say the spells are strong. At higher levels Banishment and Hold Monster are amazing spells, though they are at pretty high levels. Obviously Counterspell is strong too. The level 5 is honestly weak, Augury and Moonbeam are pretty Meh all around.

But the big one for me is Chromatic Orb. Now a paladin wont be able to keep up with any full caster when it comes to raw spell damage, but it is still super strong on a paladin who doesnt get any area effect range spells, especially at that level. Even if a paladin isnt doing the best damage, that paladin is now able to have a much stronger effect when a DM throws a dozen goblins at the party. Much better then a mass overkill smite on a single goblin.
