Unicorns!

Imagine a frail old man, sitting by a campfire, telling this story to some adventurers who had to camp for the night

"Travelers, lend me your ears, for I am about to tell you a sad, yet true story of my youth. Back in my day, there was no such thing, as fires. The only heat we ever had, was from the great goddess in the sky. Every morning, she would wander the world above. For what reason? We never knew. We presumed she was searching for something, something that would be of utmost importance in the future. So every morning, she set off. She started on the east, and finished on the west. Then when she was tired, she packed up, and made a fire. when the fire was dying, the whole sky turned red with the glow of the coals. Then as the fire died, the night sky turned dark. It was also rumored, that as she fell asleep, she woke up, in a different body, on the Earth. People claim that they have seen her. They say that she was the most beautiful that they had ever laid their eyes on. Well, one day, as the Goddess in the sky packed up, and started to fall asleep, I went looking for her. I was only a young lad back then, so I still did believe such fairy tales. I walked out into the forest next to my farm with a lantern, and the minute I stepped my foot into that forest, I saw it. Straight away. Just like that.

She was simply a faint white glow in the darkness. I stumbled my way over to her, and because I was so transfixed by her glow, I fell over. I remember it so clearly. My foot was caught in a thick root off a tree, and as I fell, my foot just couldn't keep up. I felt a pain rush through my whole body. I needed to scream, but I couldn't scare her. I slid my foot out of the root, and used the surrounding trees around me to help me make my way over to her. I fell over, over and over again, but I was determined to be one of those rare people to see her. I felt myself, just starting to feel sick. The blunt pain just rose and rose and rose, but then there she was. She stood there, grazing in the grass. It was unlike anything you've ever seen, and will probably ever see your lifetime kids. I had completely forgotten about my foot, as I had tried to walk over to her. Yes, I collapsed like a weakling, but she turned and looked at me, before cantering away. As she left me, I just felt so disappointed in myself. And, after that, I don't remember much. My dad was calling my name, someone picked me up, and I was home. And ever since that day, every night when the she fell asleep, her other body would wake up, and continue searching the sky.

And that's the story! You're welcome travelers, and I do hope you have a good sleep."

The adventurers look at each other, and shrug shoulders

"And... What was she searching for?" One asked.

"I wouldn't know, I just saw her."

The adventurers shake their heads, and lay back in their sleeping bags.

"The moon's awfully bright tonight." An adventurer stated.

"That's not the moon that's bright." The old man replied.

(Sorry for it being so long. And sorry for it being so bad. I kind of had to rush the ending because I have to go do other things, but I'll try to come back and make it better.)
