URGENT: Official campaign staff are hurting Bernie's chances in Texas

Thank you for posting this OP. I would like to share my own experience with the Texas organization:

I was contacted by a Bernie volunteer/staffer after submitting a couple of volunteering applications to the Sanders campaign. I was invited to some function through text, but when I responded, the person replied with what appeared to be a dis-invite. ...What? I figured it may have been an automated system that sent the initial text, but I didn't care... then when I followed up with a few texts to confirm the details, I realized this person gave no fucks if I showed up to the event I was initially "invited" to, other events, or if I was even involved at all. I was redirected to a different event about two hours away from where I live and there was pretty much zero possibility of me being able to make that other event -- although I had planned on attending the original event.

I'm a civil rights activist (actively litigating in federal court) and have volunteered and advocated for other organizations around the Austin area. Bernie winning the nomination (and destroying whatever republican candidate opposed him) would be extremely beneficial to me, to say the least -- my plans for the next three to four years will be significantly based upon his success or failure. The organizations I have previously contributed many hundreds of hours to and given many speeches on behalf of, make the Bernie Texas organization look downright amateurish. Even worse, most of the people I've worked with in these other organizations have had zero previous experience with fundraising, activism, or advocacy. I assumed my experience was unusual and thought nothing more of it, until this post. I hope I am wrong, again.

The official campaign in Texas is not in the best shape it could be. I strongly agree.

It was initially made in shock and anger at what was perceived to be a very lacking campaign structure viz. the ability to handle and effectively channel volunteers new to the process. If you want to create a political revolution, for which I will literally be on the front lines of, and am currently on the front lines of with or without Bernie (and am predictably having a difficult time with), "the ability to handle and effectively channel volunteers new to the process" is a prerequisite to achieving even the most modest of 'revolutions'.
