Using 'subpar' weapons?

What set might you be running that getting rid of sharpness +1 and razor sharp allows you to get better deeps than my honed blade, razor sharp, challenger +2, weakness exploit set may I ask?

Insect glaive prolly benefits the most from purple sharpnes. remember that whevener you add flat damage to a weapon, that weapon benefits more from that is the one with the highest sharpness, since that bonus is compounded by a higher multiplier. From my testing, getting triple buff on IG gives you an extra 85 raw. What's gonna benefit more from that? Anubis, of course.

For this example : let's assume attack honing, AuL, Power charm + talon, attack up food buff, and triple buff :

Tyrant's rod :
True raw = 340 + 20 + 20 + 6 + 9 + 5 + 85 = 485
Dmg before other % modifiers = * 1.25 = 606.25 Anubis : True raw = 310 + 20 + 20 + 6 + 9 + 5 + 85 = 455
Dmg before other % modifiers = * 1.45 = 659.75 Dmg difference = 630.75 / 581.25 = 8.8%

Now then, where does your extra 8.8% damage comes from, so that your build, which does not rely on S+1 and razor sharp outshines one that does? Please, I beg of you, what set could you possibly be running that has an overall 8.8% more raw than a honed blade, challenger +2, razor sharp, weakness exploit set?

If you're going to bring the sharpening argument, ok the difference might drop to 4.5-6% if you play half the time at purple, half at white, then sharpen. There are always times to sharpen, please don't get me started. I didn't add 50% off the challenger +2 buff (which, again, would be in favor of Anubis), don't start with the sharpening argument.

I really don't mind someone using subpar weapons, or even subpar builds (unless the run requires it, but that's pretty much only HAME), if it's for fashion reasons, not having a weapon yet, but please, please don't come in here with your flawed calculations saying everyone is wrong just to try to reclaim some of the ego you lost by being kicked by some nobody from the internet.

Anubis is generally praised as the weapon that does the most raw damage for an insect glaive. End of story, no questions asked. But its not. Do the maths and you'll find that tyrant rod outpaces anubis at every turn, even with its lower sharpness.
