What college history book did you read that from, or do you go off the assumption that my people were beaten daily?
Here's some info your liberal arts professors don't mention
in 1910 we were 10% of the population, give or take...we started rising during this time, then Planned Parenthood came...guess why? We now make up 13%..seems eugenics works. That low rise doesn't make sense, even with all the illegal immigration.
I believe during this time a Black fraternity was established... The Negro Leagues and Cuban leagues were in full swing, and playing exhibitions against white players...many of which had fun...Ty Cobb noted racist in history, actually gave money to the Detroit Stars in the 20's and sat in the dugout with black players...history is boiled down to one lying biography and a crap movie for him. One player Oscar Charleston was often called the best all around ballplayer and white players agreed.
I know Woodrow Wilson, a progressive/socialist Democrat enacted federal segregation around this time...#FeelTheBern
The Apollo theater was founded The Heavyweight boxing champion was Jack Johnson, a black man, who dated white women and was a celebrity in the North
We had black newspapers springing up
George Washington Buckner physician and later diplomat george Washington Carver ---uhhh peanut butter anyone Booker T Washington Scott Joplin, Cab Callaway, Count Bassie, Louie Armstrong Bessie Coleman - 1st black pilot Jessie Owens - Who was congratulated by Hitler but ignored by Democrat Socialist FDR and his own president (history states otherwise, I didn't learn that until I read his auto)
All of these great AMERICANS were around in this time period
But let's talk about the worse of this period, the KKK
That is like racists nowadays only talking about criminals of this time period to designate us...same thing. I will not label every white person from 1900-1960 as the KKK, I minored in American History in college (and argued incessantly with my liberal/progressive professor after class with his biased views) and I don't have rose colored glasses
I know there were atrocities, but I also know we had more opportunities in this country than any other in the world at the time
I also know the KKK and good ole boys didn't do 1% of the damage to the black community that Margret Sanger and Planned Parenthood have, yet white people flock to support that
