I just came across this post and I have a story that's pretty similar! It really scared the shit out of me and gave me second thoughts about flying on edibles. It's kinda long, but here it is if you're interested:
Background: I was flying back to college after Fall break. I went to college in Pennsylvania and my home is in Northern California, so you can bet your ass I was stocking up on my medical edibles and having one last 'hoorah' before plunging into finals. I ate about 250mg before my flight, which might sound like a lot, but that's my typical dose for edibles. This time I should have taken it easy.
I got on my plane, starting to feel a little stoned, and getting higher by the minute. Got to my seat, which was a middle seat. In hindsight, that was actually a good thing. About an hour in, I decided to try and do some homework. Mistake. Should have just relaxed and watched a movie and gone to sleep. I was trying to read an article for this class and it was going way over my head and I was getting extremely stressed out and paranoid about failing the class.
So I was sitting there in my seat trying to read this article, but my heart was just racing. I was getting so, so, so unbearably hot, it felt like I was just burning up. My vision was getting dark and spotty.
Trying to collect myself, I took a deep breath and looked upwards to let my face feel to cool air blowing from the little vent, and I just completely passed out on the lady sitting next to me. My head landed right on her shoulder.
It felt like I was only out for a moment, and it felt like I was shivering really hard or shaking or something when I was waking up. I was extremely stoned, so I was all embarrassed and apologetic like, "Oh my god, did I just pass out on you? I'm so, so sorry." And the guy next to me was trying to be comforting and he was like, "It's ok, I have a friend who's epileptic." (??? So I guess it looked like I was having a small seizure to him??). To this day, I have never understood what happened. Always thought it was some kind of weird edible-induced anxiety attack.
Did the shaking/shivering thing happen to you as well? My god, it was freaky. Have done edibles many times since then, but never had that experience again. Glad you're doing ok now, frient!
