You may question the fairness of the media, I do too, according to this article though the leadership did not object to his contract of supplying wood and dung cakes for which he is getting paid, they objected to his voluntary arrangement of funeral as a Muslim for which he does not get paid, no one has stepped forward to do that work, the BJP leadership said they are fine with him leaving the material outside of the cremation ground.

Since the arranging the pyre is volunteer work and according to VMC no one has stepped forward, I appreciate his work meanwhile. Unless he is forbidding volunteers (the article didn't suggest), I see no wrong. If they do not want a Muslim man to volunteer, I'd appreciate they hire or pledge Hindu volunteers in place so his work is not required.
