(VOY) "Future's End, Part I" Yep, another flaw found. This time, it's Tuvok!

Either we care about the line, in which case we can overanalyze it, or we don't, in which case you can stop complaining.

This is the point you asked about. I found your explanation to be unnecessarily complicated, and require too much to be understood by the viewer that had never been established. You failed to assume good faith here, claiming I was complaining, when I was instead challenging your explanation. Your response indicated to me that I would not benefit from attempting to converse further (which appears to be true).

Whatever. You should try extending some basic charity to the people you're communicating with, if you want that to happen less.

This is where you condescendingly link the wikipedia entry on the Principles of Charity, confirming to me that you are not operating in good faith, using logic I can't hope to decipher to infer that it was I who began to act unkindly first.

Seems to me like you're just getting irritated because I didn't roll over and agree with you.

What you're doing here is exactly the opposite of extending charity to another person's words.

It's even in the code of conduct for this subreddit:

5) Assume good faith.

This is where you paradoxically accuse me of not assuming good faith. I attempted to leave a conversation before it went from bitter to flat-out bad, without laying any heavy claims or bringing the moderators in, or downvoting or reporting. So far, I'm still trying to do that.

you're a liar

If there's a way to assume this is in good faith, I promise to find it, somehow.

You can do that. It does not mean that earlier, when you were making shit up about what I said was ex post facto assuming good faith.

"Agree to disagree" came before the remarks you accused me of not goodfaithing. But no, I'm the one making things up.

What's more, the fact that you're continuing now to make shit up about what I've said simply reinforces that you aren't assuming good faith now, and you weren't assuming good faith then.

I hope I've demonstrated by now that this remark is not factual.

It's 100% not cool to simply tell people you've been an ass to that it's not cool to ask you to stop being an ass to them.

Except, I didn't accuse you of that. I expressed distress at a bitter tone and wished not to engage further. I still wish not to engage further. Really, really badly. But, I'm also pretty compulsively unable to leave notifications unchecked. And I have this weird inexplicable whatchacallit.

Faith in humanity.

You've crossed lines I wouldn't have wanted to go near, friend. Please, for both of our sakes, let's just pretend this afternoon didn't happen.
