Water kept getting in my basement. It had to be fixed

Sorry if the pictures don't make much sense. What was happening is the basement wall under my living room was getting a ton of water through a crack everytime it rained. I mean gallons of water would pour through this crack and flood the basement. I couldn't figure it out because basically the wall is an interior wall and the garage extends out past this wall so any rain water falling would fall at least far away from this wall. We have drainage all around the house to take any water away from the house to the storm sewer out front. So really this leak didn't make any sense from a drainage aspect. I came up with a fix and it started with cutting the crack in the basement wall and filling with hydraulic cement. This worked to stop the leak but water started coming out of other cracks that were never a problem before. Soooooo I brainstormed and decided I wanted drainage pipe under the garage floor. I figured when it rained it would miss the drainage outside and drain under the garage (in the end I was partially right here). I cut and dug up the garage floor and installed 4 in perforated pvc drainage tile. This fixed the water coming in however it still didn't fix my perplexion of how water was coming under the garage floor. So long story short I dug up the backyard down spout which collected the water from the entire back roof. The drainage people that installed it before I bought the house had tied in the down spout with the perforate tile with a "T". This meant during heavy storms the water would hit this "T" and go in both directions essentially backing the water up and soaking through the perforated tile and under the garage. Re-routing the down spout fixed the problem entirely but hey I got a garage with a drain in it now and a sump pump in the basement.....
