Weekly Lucid Dream Story Thread - March 21, 2020

Swapped to night shift recently so i take melatonin roughly 10min before i bed down. I haven't been able to control dreams yet but I do understand when I'm in one after awhile. So I'm driving my car through kansas (as I've been wanting to go visit IRL) and I stop at one of my friends house except this house is out in the middle of nowhere in a corn field. I shoot the s*** with him catching up about stuff and i hear my car leaving indicating someone is stealing it. So i run after the thief with crazy speed but I can't catch him and he crests a hill. After what seemed like an eternity, I finally reach the top of the hill to see a small town. I go through the town and find the only automotive type shop and see my car on the lift. I confront the owner and pretty much got told to scram or get shot with his goonies in the background smirking. So I start walking back to my friends place to see a blackhawk touchdown on top of the hill. My friend is now in the gunner door, he tells me to get aboard and without thinking I do. Onboard are people Iv'e never met before but somehow I'm kitted up in combat gear with an M4. He tells me over the radio that we are getting my car back and as we get turned toward the small town again the whole landscape has changed to sandy streets, blownout buildings and I tell him it's not that serious at this point in which he replies he knows I would do the same. We touchdown on the outskirts of this now sandy landscape and a firefight ensues as we try and push to the automotive shop. At this point I started realizing that this S*** is crazy and I must be dreaming, no one is going to do this over a car lol. Roughly a minute later as we get close to the shop, the owner rounds a corner and starts firing at me then things start slowing down terribly, I watch the bullets travel toward me and right as they are about to hit me I wake up.- The end. When I do take melatonin 3mg I start having very vivid dreams for about a week then they dissipate to normal dreams that seem to last for 5min. When Im dreaming vividly they seem to last a looong time but this only happens when i haven't taken melatonin in awhile.
