Weekly question thread (2019-10-14 to 2019-10-20)

You probably bought it on the Play Store and the Steam version is more expensive, but if you didn't know about it, there is already a native PC version. If all else fails and you absolutely want to play the game on your PC, this could be a solution.

With that out of the way, if emulators seem to be causing you so much trouble, how about an actual Android installation?

Android-x86 can either be installed on its own drive, even a USB stick (in which case USB 3.0 is hugely recommended). You then just boot to it.

More simply for your case, a virtual machine will also work just fine, that's how I record footage and play graphically demanding games (my phone is very low-end). VirtualBox is an excellent tool for setting up a virtual machine, and user-friendly to a fault.

Lastly, I know that's not the answer you're looking for, but considering YouTube videos put the game at like 5 hours, you could also bite the bullet for the duration of your playthrough with other solutions you initially dismissed, and uninstall once you're done.
