Wellstone Experiences

Okay, another myth to dispute: Vine could care less whether you're an atheist, and at least the several there I've had direct contact and experience with would cringe at the very thought of telling someone to "pray over their mental illness" (unless it's something the client directly asked for). They literally do not care where you are religiously (or not).

Yes, certainly, there are religious-based "counseling" services out there with folks who throw that in your face. Sure, but you can't lump them all together, just as there are fully secular practices that are good and bad. I worked in mental health for years, referred lots of people to the Vine without qualms, and I'm not religious myself. I know Reddit likes to pile on anything with religion in the name, but this is one area where I think we're wrong, because it means some people won't get the help they need - good, professional help - because of that.
