to give birth at huntsville hospital or crestwood?

Depending on where you live, Madison Hospital may be an option. We actually live right between Crestwood and Huntsville Women's and Children's, but drove to Madison. My wife was in healthcare management and was familiar with all options and chose to deliver there. I was very apprehensive of the 25 minute drive, but we ended up with a slow labor. Amazing experience!

For our second child, the OB had stopped delivering at Madison so the choice was made for us to go to HH W&C. Good thing too because the baby was out within 20 minutes of arriving, so we wouldn't have made it to Madison. Not a fair comparison since it was during COVID, but it definitely had the "baby factory" feel another poster mentioned. You really have to speak up to get the care you need and stay on top of the care plan as so many nurses rotated through.

In the end you are in a fortune position as any of your local options will give you top notch healthcare, it's just the "amenities" may be a little different.
