What’s with the HSV city school ratings?

Honestly, there's no need to put race in your statement, wealthy people of every race are placing their children in private school.

Yes, there is because not doing so is why we have this problem. People do not realize they are contributing to systematic racism.

Stop and ask yourself why Madison schools are so much better than Huntsville City Schools. And even then look at the schools within Huntsville like Hampton Cove Elementary and compare it to one on the other side of town. The schools in predominately white zip codes have for a long time gotten much better funding and teachers.

And I'm not trying to blame anyone but these are things that we as a society choose to look past because it was not impacting us. And now we have these schools that are ridden with poor ACT scores, drugs, gangs, that have to bribe recent college graduates with (student loan repayment). And I'm not sure how many private schools you have ever actually set foot in but here is some unbiased data.

85% of this private school is white. And 9.7% are Asian (this alone should make you go HUHHHH????). African Americans represent 3% of the student body and a large majority of them are not there because they have wealthy parents. They are literally recruited to play on the football and basketball team and get scholarships.

We have been stripping the normal public-schools of all the majority of students who have educated or wealthy parents. And even people like me take part in this crap. I have to choose to be part of the problem or send my kids to a bad school because of the neighborhood I live in.
