What is the most inaccessible music that you know of?

i always love music that's takes some effort on the listener's part - either because it's really proggy (camel, pink floyd, tool, yes, rush, opeth, porcupine tree, mars volta), or because it's really aggressive/loud (messhugah, bloodbath, behemoth, deafheaven, ghost bath, myrkur), over the top with shocking theatrics (manson, ghost, die antwoord), almost too ambient or subtle for accessibility (tycho, sigur ros, my bloody valentine, washed out), or just really experimental (tom waits, animal collective, mike patton, aphex twin, death grips, dog fashion disco, dan deacon, bjork, beck, some bowie would fall into this i suppose), or just insanely complex ( be it dream theater or aesop rock)

I would consider all of these in many ways to be "inaccessible" when contrasted to people like my sister who listens to nothing but club rap, dance pop or pop country all day. Or to my parents who basically were raised up on elvis, motown, and country, with some very light cursory influence from some classic rock kings like the beatles or hendrix (and not having any intimate knowledge of either). I mean chances are - if you like Tyga and Chris Brown, or you're over 50, or you like shitty pop songs about girls in tight jeans getting in your pickup truck - then everything i listen to is inaccessible trash.

But i dunno - in the grand scheme of things- music is so diverse nowadays. Anyone who i'd consider a serious music lover would laugh at me referring to any of that stuff as experimental or avante garde.

I love music that challenges the listener to broaden what the define as music - but on some level i still require it be grounded somewhat is recognizable structures.
