A little bit of everything. Lately I've been delving into American country/folk music. Merle Haggard's early stuff, John Prine, The Carter Family, Hank Williams, Roy Acuff, Robbie Basho, Townes Van Zandt, Jackson C. Frank, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan (of course), etc.

As for contemporary stuff unfortunately most country nowadays is just bad. The only contemporary country that is really comparable was Jason Molina and his work with his bands; Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co. Unfortunately he succumbed to alcoholism in 2013 but I would highly recommend anyone who is even slightly interested to country/folk/americana to give him a listen; especially the Magnolia Electric Co. self titled album.

As for contemporary folk, Sun Kil Moon is probably my favorite in recent years.
