My paternal great grandfather’s parents. I have his birthdate (Oct 1883 in New Orleans), but have no records prior to 1905 when he marries my great grandmother. He appears in census (though one has the family surname misspelled) with my grandfather. On the census’s he lists his parents as being born in different states.

I’ve done 23andMe and have matches for my great grandmother’s family and several Leeds method groups but haven’t a clue how I fit in. From the lists I know he was Cajun, or at least part Cajun, and one group has a Broussard and Richards as the most recent ancestors for them all. I’m slowly building trees but it seems endless.
