I was actually told exactly this in a 3-paragraph rant by a Reddit red-piller. He looked through my comment history and then lectured me for three paragraphs about how the reason I was single was because I was middle-aged, overeducated, and child-free, and no man could put up with that horrific combination for very long, and I missed my one small window to find a man, and I would have been happy if only I had not listened to the evil feminists and gone to college and stayed at home with 3 children instead, and now I was all washed up and repulsive, an old withered gross husk of a quasi-femoid, and no man would ever want me, the end.

Truth: I was married for 12 years and got divorced because my husband had an affair with a woman who ALSO had a Ph.D., who was ALSO middle-aged, and who ALSO was a staunchly child-free cat lady. I explained this to the red-piller, but he never responded, probably because he didn't know how to manage the notion that real life doesn't always fit into the nice little ideological frameworks we wish it would.
