What would happen if we had modern internet in the 80s?

Nintendo would probably have gone out of business due to their entire library of NES games being available do download and run on emulators. But wait a minute, if we had the web back then we have now, that would mean in the 1980s there would have been all these amazing browser-based web games too, which would have completely blown the 1980s home console scene out of the water, and gaming as we know it would be completely different in 2022. Think about the impact on the music and film industries! Some TV shows wouldn't have ever been made because the plot relied on the technology as it was in the year the show was created. A lot of TV shows might not have been created because the existence of YouTube and Netflix in the 1980s would have prevented a lot of customers in the 1990s from buying a cable subscription.
