I’d say from around the Reality Era (2014-2016) to current day was when the quality of WWE started to deteriorate. The Product was getting pretty stale and the passions that fans once had towards the product was deteriorating pretty rapidly. And each year, WWE was starting to lose a shit ton of viewers pretty rapidly, too. And this was probably due to the overexposure of main event superstars (Triple H, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Batista, HBK, Undertaker, John Cena, The Rock, Edge, Jeff Hardy) from the preceding era, aka. the PG-Era. In the PG-Era, the midcarders and lowercarders were practically non-existent. So, they really started to rely heavily on the aforementioned wrestlers that I listed above who were all from fan favorite era’s like the Ruthless Aggression or Attitude Era. But still, the PG Era was still getting record amounts of sky-high viewership numbers. And WWE had a lot of mainstream attention at the time. Leading into the Reality Era, most of the guys I listed were either gone or their characters were getting stale. Which then imminently caused the onset of WWE starting to see record low viewership numbers leading into today’s current era.
