This really isn't a compliment I guess. But a while back, there was an attempted rape across the street from me and I woke up at 3am to screaming and called the cops from my bed. My guy friend had been upstairs at a party and went to help the girl and we later talked about how the experience made us feel. A few days later, he said he had a surprise for me. Turns out the surprise was that he had bought me and a bunch of my friends pepper spray -- I can't describe how loved it made me feel to know that someone wanted me to be safe and actually cared that I was scared without me really needing to express that. Just was really touched that me and my safety mattered to someone.
