What's the most badass historical character nobody seems to know about?

Robert Fortune - Scottish botanist who snuck into China to steal tea for the East India Company in the 1800s. Kept meticulous journals, which read more like adventure novels. Had to disguise himself as a Northern Mandarine farmer to remain undetected (foreigners couldn't go past established trade ports). Attempted to defend the ship he was aboard from pirates alone, as the crew had taken cover under the deck. Evaded death several times. All for some tea.

Mata Hari - Dutch exotic dancer tried and killed for espionage during WWI. Lots of sex, alcohol and secrets. However, there's been a lot of debate over wether or not any of this actually happened. Some people think she was mentally unwell and made everything up, others think the Crown made up the story to silence her.
