So...men are scum when they subtly manipulate you, but when you manipulate them (or worse: Use sex as a weapon or think it's ok if there's only infrequent sex in your relationship because your libido is gone) then that's ok?

Sorry, but I think both aren't fair, but trying to convince a women not to wear make-up (without trickery and manipulation) is a lost battle in most cases (just like making them stop shaving their legs)...women have been shamed into thinking that they don't look good without caking their face (hell, it looks like many are wearing a MASK if you see pictures with and without make-up...most women would look good without it if they went to a skin-specialist and got help fixing skin problems that they otherwise COVER UP!), it's so sad...just like that diamong-engagement-ring scam and all those handbags that are filled mostly with useless junk and don't get me started on high-heels and other totally impractical items women wear :( which IMHO don't make them look beautiful IMHO, more like ridiculous...I prefer a woman in pants (hell, even a suit - like a man - looks damned sex...or a business costume!) who doesn't try to draw your attention but looks stunning non the less!
