Short story:

A buddy and my self visited CO for the first time a few years ago. We are big into mountain biking and camping so we loaded up the bikes and headed to Crested Butte. We drove up the road north of town a ways and found a spot to pull off. After hiking into the mountains to camp my buddy gave me a psst which we usually use for hunting situations so it caught me off guard. I looked up and there is the biggest fucking moose I think that ever lived. But wait, it gets better. About 100 yards left of this big fucker is a baby moose. We made our presence known and just watched them mill about eating while eyeing up trees to climb. They eventually wondered off but that was an interesting way to spend my first 15 minutes in the real "wilderness" out west.
