This is a level of optimism I feel bad about shooting down....but... that's just not possible at this point.

A show of this production level requires a lot more time than that. I am confident it will be renewed, but until it is officially, no one is making new props, sets, costumes, etc. No one is filming scenes, no actors are planning their lives around a filming schedule for season 3 yet. I wouldn't be surprised if Seth and his writers are already getting the scripts together for season 3, but I guarantee they are still far from finished and probably aren't focusing on it instead of whatever other projects they're each involved with.

If we get new Orville in January 2020, I will eat a whole cigarette in honor of Bortus. The other person's guess of Fall 2020 even seems a bit optimistic to me. I'd actually guess January 2021.
