I love the Orville but overall liked seasons 1-2 better than 3… have a feeling I’m in a minority based on most posts but just curious if anyone else felt that way?

I'm on your side, bud. I firmly believe Season 3 could have had better potential. S3 episodes are close to an hour long each? Each episode had the beef to be cut into two 45 minute episodes if they cut in jokes here and there, so there'd be sixteen episodes in season three with added jokey bits to realign with S1 and 2.

That's just my opinion, and I am aware enough to know the vast majority of Orville fans prefer the longer, more serious episodes because it's like every week is a new Star Trek movie experience, done right this time damn it. I just like my Star Trek more DS9 than Voyager. Shorter, self-contained stories, less critically dense, and with a lot of fantastical nonsense jokes.

I guess a good way to put it is, I fell in love with Bortus and Klyden. But then I really fucking hated Bortus and Klyden. And now there's a mix of old and new Bortus and Klyden, which I love and appreciate, but it's not the same funny goofy Bortus and Klyden who dance to house music and hide cigarettes.
