Where did the SWTOR 2.0 rumour come from and why do people believe it a possibility

If:

a company fucks up so many times, that you can clearly see their fading enthusiasm, their - what can only be described as - cluelessness and the extremely awful development "plan" - roadmap they like to call it - as in they just drive the car, with random buildings(updates) to pass. or a blind, drunk, maniac driver - that's the way it seems, at least to me. -

than:

It's impossible they have any higher motivation anymore then creating out of porportion blown miniscule updates, which is like 1/8th or even less of what a wow update is - for a niche group of players that are willing to pay the most and soothes to some extent the ever growing rage of angry players.

they don't have the resources to do otherwise and still portrait themselves as big as they need to be to keep any form of playerbase.

Now I still admire alot they do, I really do, but frankly other companies do the same, with more resources and less to be desired.

So for some time now, we know that some sort of servermerge will happen, i wouldn't even be surprised any more IF it's some gross incarnation of cross server. I just feel like there is something frankenstein'ish, even more so then the absolute abomination of engine we're forced to experience coming our way.

Now everyone working @ bioware must be aware of this feeling, so a "normal" human being would assume that there has to be a real reason for them to endure this farce, other than milking customers, cause that'd be way to dark of a motivation for any company to keep up.

and because we as a human race like to hope for the better, that would be the idealistic driven emotional reason for these rumors, or so i think : P.
