I wish gender roles never existed!

Grunted, specific societal roles throughout history have now been solely based on height instead, i.e. most women and short men have been gatherers, while tall women and upper half of men served as hunters during the prehistoric era. During feudalization in the Middle Ages, this resulted in stark diversification of the population into the short serfs and the tall rulers, where an undersized child born into upper society would be often abandoned by its parents as a way to retain the status of their family. As of the last few centuries, equalitarian movements have made great progress towards unifying society. However, countless centuries of selective breeding have basically resulted in the formation of what could be described as two subspecies of humans, whose average heights differ by over 50%. While there are anti-discrimination laws in place, the large people still often inevitably reach higher positions (no pun intended) than their short contemporaries, and mixed couples are rare and usually silently looked down upon (no pun intended), especially the ones where the shorter partner takes the dominant leading role.
