Honestly though those sort of wildly innacurate and insulting perceptions of natives is a lot more common than you'd think. Im native, grew up on the rez(warm springs), and a lot of folks from out of town talk like we're still sleeping in tipis and shit. We're not. We moved on from that to single-wide trailers lmao

Fortunately I havent and don't really encounter any racial discrimination or anything myself, and most people just assume Im mexican lol... I used to get people at work coming up to me talking in Spanish and I cant understand a single thing theyre saying
