Wuhan Urban Expressway

I'm definitely not a China hater and it's quite obvious we're in the midst of a cold war level propaganda war against them.

That said, it saddens me to see them repeat so many of the mistakes of western post automobile planning.

They're building new cities from the ground up based on an auto centric design even while at the same time the oldest cities in the world are trying to undo the damage that's been done by cars.

I hope I'm getting a false sense from just seeing images of cities and I do know they have quickly built the most extensive HSR network in the world so maybe I'm off base.

Regardless of how many people do currently drive though the infrastructure often clearly puts the automobile first.
