The demographic for little boy wanters just isn't as big as little girl wanters

Sorry, it's just that I have an unfair assumption that those people who keep saying "male child characters won't sell well, but female child characters would" are the ones who only like female designs in general, that includes the female children designs.

I mean if we assume that the female-design-enthusiasts demographic likes the design of the female child characters, then the male-design-enthusiasts demographic can also like the designs of male child characters, plus, the two demographic is "quite balanced" in numbers, which means that male child characters could sell as well as the female child characters. Adding the little boys just adds cuteness into the game.

I can't see Mihoyo putting in the effort to generate an entire new model

I mean who asked for female child characters in the first place? HoYoverse could just use the same model as the little girls.

But, when it comes to "clunky" gameplay, then that's a different story, that just depends on what kind of kit HoYoverse would make for that certain character. Look at Diona for being a viable character, she is just there to provide shield, healing and buffs without the need to move around with her.

Sorry again, not being passive aggressive here, it's that it just drives me nuts, coming from a person that finds the anime children cute regardless of gender, that the majority of the anime community neglects the existence of anime male children, the "protect the little girls" meme is basically irrelevant to cute little boys. HoYoverse deciding to make the playable children only female doesn't make sense to me.
