even though I get along well with everyone that I know, everyone pretty much forgets that I exist because I'm so quiet. The only reason that I even have a friend group is because I need people to eat lunch with, but I'm not really close with anyone in it.

I agree with the cynicism of INTJs. My close friend is one and our humor is one of the things that sticks us together. We didn't got along the first time we met.

It depends on the person for me rather than their type. Even if their types says we have much in common or not, people are just so complex. For example, even if I know I would get along the most with Ns, there are also a lot of instances that I couldn't relate to most Ns around me.

It's like you're looking for a particular "zing" or someone that would get you. More of "I know this person would understand me and I know would understand this person too." Be it having a lot in common or not, you just get along even if you can't explain it in the first place. Chemistry, gut feeling, whatever you call it.
