Young person needing to vent

Just get an emulator and play the games, who cares if you are using original hardware. I understand the reasoning behind collectors, and hardware preservation. But in the end, it is all about the games, does it really matter if the color isn't exactly perfect or the emulation isn't frame accurate?

Emulators are awesome, and you can run pretty much everything before the Dreamcast generation on a $50 RPi setup. They even sell handhelds on Amazon that are preloaded with a ton of SNES, NES and GBA ROMs for around $50, so you don't even need to download anything.

If you are worried about the legal risk of playing emulated games on your personal computer, don't, no one is ever going to come after you. There are hundreds of companies illegally selling these ROMs, you are not a target and totally inconsequential to any rights holders.
