Right now for me the error is...

The connection has timed out

I was able to connect about (dunno exactly) ~14 hours ago. I thought the problems were fixed but about an hour later it was back to the "timed out" message.

Some clown named Marvinxx claims he's staff.

OK folks, here's the long and short of it.

We as staff have been getting increasingly annoyed at the behaviour of some of our users who are constantly second-guessing staff decisions. So we have taken the site down for the forseeable future to give everyone, including us, some breathing space.

I know this sounds rough, but staff are genuinely sick of users talking back.

I assume that the site is probably under a prolonged DoS (maybe even DDoS) attack. Marvinxx's probably involved in the attack.
