Is the '04 The Batman for kids?

Brave and the Bold was pretty entertaining. Not just something to sell toys - something for people who liked big goofy team-up stories, like the Silver Age was famous for. This aired for three seasons and has quite a few die-hard fans.

The Batman was more of an attempt to create a 'cool modern Batman' for kids/young adults. Bruce is in his 20s, his Bat-signal is his smartphone, etc. Basically just trying to tell the Batman story in a more modern setting. They also tried to revamp some of his villains. A lot of people criticize their version of The Joker, but their version of Clayface was actually fairly interesting. It aired for five seasons and eventually added Batgirl and Robin to the cast in the later ones, and had lots of teamups with various Justice League members in the last season.

There's also Beware the Batman which tried to do the same thing again - 'cool modern Batman', this time with a computer generated cartoon. It was canceled after less than one season, they aired the last half dozen episodes or so all at once just to finish it off.

They're all aimed at kids as a target audience, even Batman: The Animated Series. The only difference is that some of them do a better job of not annoying adults who try to watch them as well.
