My sister is a dog trainer and specializes in training pit bulls, i feel like a lot of people get a pit bull not realizing that you need to know what you are doing, you can’t just get a very big and strong dog like that without training and keeping it out of situations where they can get overwhelmed or attack. My neighbor at our old apartment had 2 pit bulls and one morning I went outside to walk my little 7 pound chihuahua mix and I didn’t realize my neighbor was out with her dogs off leash and they started jumping up on me trying to get to my dog that I quickly picked up over my head, I really don’t know if these dogs where trying to attack us but they were being very rough and my neighbor was yelling at them frantically. me and my dog were ok but I was pretty shaken up,even if it was a different type of dog in this situation I wouldn’t have felt any different. Don’t let your dog off leash in a public space like that. I don’t have an issue with pit bulls at all they are very sweet dogs, I have an issue with the owners who don’t know how to keep them under control. Sorry if this is a rant
