2 minor girls were burnt with tongs and forced to eat human excreta for the "crime" of speaking with boys (happened in U.P., India, notorious for horrible crimes against women)

In a heart-wrenching incident, two minor cousins in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur district were repeatedly burnt with tongs and made to eat human excreta by their upset family members for talking to boys of their school.

According to a news report in Hindustan Times, the victims who fled from their home to escape the torment, were found on Tuesday night in bordering Nepal. Showing their burn injuries on their hands, they revealed their ordeal to the police and representatives from the Child Welfare Committee.

After the girls were located, Gorakhpur police sent their family to Nepal to bring them back. However, a timely intervention by a Nepal-based NGO who contacted a city-based NGO Manav Sena Sansthan, the girls were saved from being handed to the torturous family again.
