2011: Oregon loses championship in Arizona, Pack win SB in Arlington. 2014: Oregon loses championship in Arlington, Pack win SB in Arizona?

As a huge Ducks fan, this genuinely tormented me for the past month, I realized immediately that it was the same two sites and that Oregon and the Packers both had legit shots just like 2010, when Oregon stomped FSU I started getting nervous, after Sunday I was so emotionally exhausted I didn't even know if I could handle the NCG, I started watching anyway with an impending sense of doom. Oregon looked like a shell of themselves, the prolific offense inexplicably stalled time and time again, unbelievably wide open receivers dropped passes that hit them right in the chest and hands. We just kept punting, for no discernible reason, the bend-but-don't-break Oregon defense got 4 turnovers and kept it close until the 4th quarter, the offense still stalled, the coaches just kept punting even down 8 and 15 in the 4th quarter (the national funking championship and you just keep on punting??!) the defense couldn't handle anymore and the dam broke in a flood of 4th quarter points. It was fate, we had to lose, I laid in bed and cried like a child over the misery of a team I've been following since I was 10 years old. It was so much more painful than losing to Auburn in 2010, OSU was begging us to win, begging us to take control like we had so many times all season and we just said "no thanks" and dropped and punted the game away time and again, opportunity after opportunity down the drain.

I woke Monday morning feeling like a new man, I watched the highlights of the Dallas game about a dozen times, knowing Packers are destined to win it all. We will win, there is no choice or uncertainty, history is already written, we can only flip through one page at a time. I hope you all appreciate how painful it is, how cruel fate has to be at times to give us these moments of joy, the Packers are the team of destiny this year.

Go Pack Go.
