2023 QBs "Advanced" Accuracy Stats

Yeah I've gone back and rewatched a bit of Allen for comparisons sake with Levis and Richardson. A lot of the Allen mistakes were up stairs. He had the skill and ability to make impressive, accurate throws (short, intermediate, and deep). He just tried to do to much and didn't let the game come to him (perhaps because he knew it wouldn't come to him with his supporting cast, perhaps because of lack of reps, etc). There was quite a bit of... Run around and just fucking chuck it downfield from him. It wasn't that he didn't have proper mechanics necessarily, just that he didn't apply them as often as you'd like. But when he played with proper techniques it was pretty special.

You see this with Richardson too. Imo slightly less though cause there are times when he puts the mechanics together and the ball is still a WTF pass. With Levis... I just don't even know what to think. He was just getting killed on the regular and he was very injured this year. I think it's hard to get a solid evaluation on him from this past season.

Ultimately for Allen it was about consistently relying on good fundamentals. Not carving them out of a ball of clay. But even now he still has lapses more than I'd like. Of course he's incredible, but I think he could be even more incredible and have less turn over worthy plays if he played it a bit more consistent.
