I have 8 withdrawals on my transcript...is there any chance of getting into grad school one day?

No, you are not completely hopeless. I had 12+ withdraws, 6 F’s, and spent 4 years at CC. I also struggled, but things changed once I got my AA and transferred to a 4 year school. I’m now getting my PhD in psych at a R1 and I also won a competitive federal research fellowship. Prior to grad school, I was a RA at one of the top 5 medical institutions in the world. I personally don’t think my prior academic record is entirely indicative of my success. I do acknowledge, however, that my path to success was non-linear.

How well do you perform in psych courses when not having medical issues? If you have additional q’s, feel free to PM me.
