Leaving PhD program in 3rd year - job prospects?

I’m sorry to hear about your situation, I hate to say this, but I highly recommend you to be patient and follow through your PhD, if it is possible change your lab, if there is an option to change your field, change it but coordinate with your new PI to work on a project that won’t take more than a year with your current experience. As far as the job concern, you should be fine but don’t expect high pay, you have better chance with PhD to land a job. I totally understand the frustration about the PI and the lab when they start to interfere/pushing your effort to generate data. It happens at every institution! It is wrong, but it shouldn’t deter you from achieving your goal to complete your PhD.
