9 Days Until Cubs Baseball!

Tell me how. On what basis is one to be optimistic, cautiously or otherwise? Still 9 days out, and cities are shutting down to the point that at least one major league city has restrictions that may ("may" -- 9 days away, and we still don't know) prevent baseball being played.

I've long held to the maxim that baseball is life. If there is any truth to that, the fans need to check themselves a bit and determine whether baseball is worth more dead people. I'd love to see some baseball and have things to talk about here and elsewhere, but I am more inclined not to want to have to read stories about new virus clusters and death zones cropping up because we just had to have a beer and watch men beat up some wood and leather for points.
