I think only less than 2 percent of students in Chicago read at their grade level. And a very large percent are just straight-up illiterate. I understand reddit hates on conservatives, but democratic and big cities in America all have the same problem. It's funny, I just randomly saw this sub. I'm not communist at all, and I think China is awful with the way they treat their people. But they have intelligent kids because they're so strict. No one seems to give a fuck in the US. Almost like who cares if the sub 18-year-olds can't even read and have an IQ lower than 85. But hey, who cares, we have covid to deal with, even though 99.8 percent of people dont die from it. And racism that doesn't exist in most places, but is plastered all over the news and media. Who cares about education.
