Have the Devs thought about integrating the game with NFT's?

People who are proponents of NFTs in video games have a poor understanding of what an NFT actually is and why this is a horrible idea for video games.

The reason why NFTs were created was to allow artists and the like a way to sell monetize their work on their own, kind of like self-publishing, but video game companies already can do this with their own shops.

There's also no guarantee anyone but the original seller is going to make any money with them. This is why they are being adopted, companies can sell NFTs for millions of dollars, while not actually needing to produce a product. But they can sell these to people who don't understand because those people think they can make profit.

See why this is bad for video games?

Why would a company need to make content when it can just sell it's customers NFTs? This is exactly what happens in NFT games, they lack any real content, because the entire "game" is designed to sell you NFTs.

Think of an MMO that is designed solely around the idea of trying to sell you something they are selling. They design the game to funnel you to the item shop to buy their digital items. We in the MMO community have a term for these games.
